Big Success in Cyprus
When the Ministry of Health in Cyprus decided to upgrade autonomous public hospitals in cooperation with state health services, the LINET MEA team, led by Jitka Stranska, was there to help.
"I am happy that after a long process and retendering the Ministry of Health decided to not compromise on quality and went for dependable, long-lasting hospital beds,” said Jitka Stranska, Managing Director LINET MEA. In April 2019, LINET installed 486 modern Eleganza 2 beds, with an option for another 200 pieces, in state health facilities in Cyprus. This successfully completed a tender announced by the Cypriot government as part of a hospital modernization program. The order was worth hundreds of thousands of Euros and the reception of this state-of-the-art equipment has been extremely positive.
Recent health care reform in Cyprus includes the financial independence of large state hospitals, which will start to manage their own budgets and become responsible for the purchase of technology and material. Czech medical technology has a very good reputation in Cyprus which means that LINET has an excellent opportunity to take part in the rapidly expanding local market. During the tender for hospital beds and in the implementation of the contract the Czech Embassy in Cyprus worked closely with LINET.
