Africa Health 2019: Lateralization for Better Care
Lateral tilt, a unique LINET bed technology for the gentle care of patients with limited mobility, will be the biggest attraction on the LINET Group stand at Africa Health. The exhibition will take place from May 28-30, 2019 at the Gallagher Center in Johannesburg. LINET will also showcase the star of its pediatric portfolio, the TOM 2 bed, at the largest medical technology fair on the continent. Latera and TOM 2 will represent the complex portfolio of LINET Group. “We are the only ones in our field able to meet the needs of all the areas of hospital, ambulatory and long-term care,” said Petr Foit, Global Sales Director Export. According to him, the African market is very promising for LINET Group. “The clients increasingly prefer advanced products with long-term added value over cheap production of low quality,” he added.
“In South Africa, we see very positive feedback on the lateral tilt function and its use, especially in intensive care units. The Latera bed is popular and we will demonstrate the advantages of its 15° tilt at our stand. We want to offer customers not only functionality and its added value, but also professional training directly in hospitals, which will enable effective clinical use of the beds and expand the professional knowledge of staff,” said Jitka Stránská, managing director of LINET MEA. Other premium LINET products, such as the TOM 2 pediatric bed and the sophisticated AVE 2 birthing bed, also have great potential in South Africa.
The South African region is one of the continent's economic leaders and is constantly growing. Health care is provided both in the public sector and in the private sector, which increasingly sets the direction of treatment. “Private facilities rely on the TOP quality of care, including equipment, while maximizing investment. These are areas where, as number one in Europe, we can offer effective solutions,” added Jitka Stránská.
