Moving and handling workshop at Abu Dhabi

The attention of more than 600 accredited visitors (physicians, nurses, microbiologists and other specialist in the field) was enjoyed not only by the stand, where the new products in the portfolio (the AVE 2 birthing bed and the ICU bed Eleganza 5) could be viewed. The special workshop "Moving and Handling" conducted by the lecturer Koen de Doncker, a master in physical therapy and motor rehabilitation, was a major attraction of the event.

"By bringing together the clinical background that we, as the LINET Group, have and the captivating and highly valued presentation of Koen de Doncker in combination with our products exhibited, we managed to attract attention and gain an audience," says Michal Dostál, the ASM of LINET MEA.

The workshop was held on the last and final day of the conference, and, according to the feedback, it was among the highlights of the entire conference. Koen de Doncker enlightened the nurses and other medical staff present as to the methods of working with the patient ergonomically without exerting physical effort while minimising high-risk medic-to-patient contact at the same time. Overall, Koen's presentation was focused on the use of the lateral tilt and the elimination of stereotypes that are dangerous to the health in the work of the nurse. The improvised celebration of the lecturer's birthday, which fell on that very day, was a funny and pleasant end to the successful participation of LINET MEA in the conference and to the completed workshop.
